Apollo Fire Detectors has expanded its Soteria Dimension range with the introduction of a black optical detector – Dimension Black – offering greater flexibility for architects, designers, and specifiers working across visually sensitive or design-led environments.
The new finish responds to the increasing demand for fire detection solutions that integrate more discreetly within darker or more considered interior schemes, including theatres, cinemas, hospitality settings and other low-light spaces. By reducing visual contrast at ceiling level, the black variant allows the detector to recede more effectively into the overall architectural composition.
The Soteria Dimension range is defined by its flush-mounted form and minimal profile, supporting a cleaner ceiling plane compared with more conventional devices. This is combined with chamberless sensing technology, maintaining performance while allowing for a more refined physical design.
In terms of application, the detector remains compatible with Apollo’s XP95, Discovery and CoreProtocol systems, enabling integration across both existing installations and new-build projects without compromising system reliability.
