Building warranty specialist, London Belgravia Brokers, was chosen by Shapoorji Palloonji UK to source cover for a 170 unit build-to-rent unit scheme with a total construction value of £22,500,000.
The 155 year-old Shapoorji Pallonji group is an international construction company with a turnover of $6.5b. This project is their first in the UK market.
Project director Daniel Hilu leads the project with subcontractors JB Structures, Sada Architecture Ltd. and Michael Barclay Partnership LLP.
Construction on the site, where a cinema and office for Care City – a healthcare innovation and research consultancy- are also planned, is expected to complete in the third quarter of 2022.
Senior broker Jamie Milne was appointed to arrange the building warranty cover for the site. The 12-year building warranty insurance will be passed on to the new individual owners of the apartments. LBB assisted Shapoorji Palloonji UK in arranging the appropriate cover that suited their individual circumstances, allowing them to focus on this unique development.
