Taking place on Tuesday 6th June as part of Architects’ Day, the session ‘Studies in stone: award-winning projects discussed’ runs from 12 – 1pm and will explore a selection of the award-winning projects from Stone Federation Great Britain’s Natural Stone Awards, with insights from the architects involved, culminating with the announcement of the award for the UK’s favourite stone project.

  • 12:00 – 12:05 Introduction
  • 12:05 – 12:15 Chelsea Barracks – Phase IV, London
    Eric Parry Architects will discuss Chelsea Barracks – Phase IV, winner in the New Build: Modern Style Stone Cladding category.
  • 12:15 – 12:25 Lenaboy, Malahide, County Dublin
    Hilary Caulfield Wright, Director at Caulfield Wright Architects, will discuss Lenaboy, winner in the Interiors: Commercial & Residential category.
  • 12:25 – 12:35 The Fratry, Carlisle Cathedral, Carlisle
    Ingrid Petit, Associate at Feilden Fowles, will discuss The Fratry, winner in the Repair & Restoration: Ecclesiastical category.
  • 12:35 – 12:45 Elephant Springs, Elephant Park, London
    Neil Matthew, Senior Associate Landscape Architect at Gillespies, will discuss Elephant Springs, winner in the Landscaping: Commercial & Public Realm category.
  • 12:45 – 13:00 Presentation of Awards
    The session will be followed by invitation-only drinks and networking lunch from 1 – 2pm.
