Feel at home in the future
Throughout its over 100-year history, SIEGENIA has been at the forefront of innovation, and this remains the case today. Their extensive smart home offering includes motorised doors and access control systems, monitoring, sensor and app technology that can be integrated with third-party products to create smart living scenarios.
GENIUS door lock and access control systems
One established, popular product which led the way for SIEGENIA in this field is their GENIUS electromechanical multi-point door lock. Perfect for high-end projects where accessibility and security are paramount, the powerful gear motor quickly and quietly locks and unlocks the round bolt-hook bolt combination in the auxiliary lock case as well as the main bolt, ensuring maximum sealing. And this can be combined with any of SIEGENIA’s digital access control systems, such as their fingerprint scanner, keypad, transponder, or even their SIEGENIA comfort app for maximum ease of operation and optical effect. It can also be combined with third-party systems. The GENIUS is not just suitable for residential buildings but there are also versions available as emergency exit and panic door solutions for commercial projects.
As well as front door solutions, SIEGENIA has also offered a number of motorised drives for windows and sliding doors for some time as part of their “Room Comfort” and more recently “360° Room Comfort” philosophy which aims to create comfortable, future-oriented living spaces that maximise well-being, security and universal accessibility.

“Smart house” exhibit showcased new products
As per their tradition of not relying on their established products, SIEGENIA product development has been continually innovating to create a variety of new smart products which were demonstrated in a smart house exhibit on their stand at the FENSTERBAU window and door trade fair in Germany in March. New products on show included window solutions such as the DRIVE CL motor, smart window handle and smart sensor, as well as the DRIVE axxent LS concealed motorised drive for sliding doors which launches this summer. There were also sensor and app-controlled single-room heat recovery ventilation units such as the AEROPLUS WRG smart and AEROTUBE WRG smart on show.
These products were connected with each other and even with external products such as lighting and heating to create “scenarios”, i.e. procedures that could be initiated via your phone when you leave or enter the home. Marco Nehren, Head of Product Management at SIEGENIA, said “The SIEGENIA central control has shown how the room comfort experience of a house or apartment can be enhanced. This also reflects the feedback from fabricators and retailers, who showed a lot of interest in marketing the system.”
