Reynaers Aluminium launches minimalist sliding system for stylish facades

Reynaers, the specialist provider of sustainable architectural aluminium glazing systems, has launched the MasterPatio sliding system, delivering floor-to-ceiling sliding doors with reduced sightlines and minimalist design.

As a highly versatile sliding system, MasterPatio can accommodate glazing up to 3.6 meters in height, making it suitable for a variety of applications – from individual houses through to high-rise dwellings. Complemented by Reynaers’ MasterPatio window range, the sliding system delivers dependable, market-leading performance and also meets the Passivehaus standards where thermal performance is concerned.

Making it possible to introduce full-height glazing into spaces to maximise the presence of natural light, the robust sliding system minimises the barriers between inside and outside spaces while providing the practicality and functionality required for modern living spaces.

Complementing the minimalist appearance of MasterPatio, Reynaers’ new stainless steel Contour Handles can be integrated to achieve a distinctive look and feel. Available in multiple variations, the handles have been designed to meet the most stringent durability and safety requirements, ensuring they meet the demands of everyday use.

John McComb, Director Technical Services at Reynaers, said:

“We’ve seen the demand for sliding doors increase dramatically recently, particularly as more people undertake renovation projects to rejuvenate their homes. With MasterPatio, we have developed a system which leads on contemporary design while providing superior performance and functionality. The result is a robust sliding system which can stand up to everyday demands while maintaining a modern and minimalist appearance, with slim sightlines ensuring a glass to frame ratio of around 90% to maximise the presence of natural light.”

“As well as looking fantastic, the system delivers in all areas of performance, from wind and water tightness through to acoustics and wind load resistance, having been tested to BS EN 6375-1 and EN 10140-2. That means architects can make use of the system the create a modern, minimalist appearance which is also robust enough to stand the test of time.”

Alongside the system’s performance characteristics, MasterPatio is made using low-carbon and recycled aluminium, contributing to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions in the supply chain.
