Charter Global have been pleased to design, supply and install security shutters to a luxury property based in one of the most prestigious residential areas of West London.
The new owner was looking for a home his family could stay in whilst they were in the UK, but had concerns about the number of high profile break-ins the neighbouring properties had experienced.
The existing house was being completely refurbished, giving Charter Global the opportunity to provide an unobtrusive security measure that could be seamlessly integrated into the interior design; including hidden boxes and guides, and connection into the home automation system.
Charter Global’s signature prime residential shutter range, Equilux, matched the client’s requirements for a security solution that could protect the property whilst the client was abroad, and in the evenings/overnight.
When deployed, the security shutters provide a visual deterrent to any would-be intruders, as well as a physical barrier to any attempted to break in.
31 Equilux security shutters were manufactured and installed across the property. This included internal shutters behind the doors and windows on the ground and first floors. These shutters featured a concealed hood box that was installed above the ceiling, causing minimal impact to the luxury aesthetics.
Interior blockwork was amended to allow the guides to sit clear of the window opening, giving better design aesthetics, and the ceiling beneath the shutter boxes incorporated a removable panel providing access for service and maintenance.
A clever, bespoke solution using a horizontal security shutter was installed to protect intruders looking to enter through the top of the ground floor conservatory as well as external shutters for the conservatory.
