New from sustainable building envelope specialist, Schüco UK, is an integrated Ground-Floor Treatment (GFT) solution that has been developed especially for high-traffic areas in a wide range of commercial and public buildings including colleges, schools and hospitals.
Aesthetically appealing and extremely robust, the Schüco GFT solution is a thermally broken pivot door and screen system, with an overall basic depth of 65 mm. In addition, the system is compatible with the Schüco FWS façade range and the Schüco AWS 70 SC window system, making it a cost-effective solution for ground floor entrance and reception areas.
“Through conversations with our customers we spotted the need for a highly durable and easy to fabricate GFT system that would surpass the often extreme demands of education and commercial buildings,” comments Stephen Jeffries, Product Manager, Schüco UK.
“Now there is a GFT system that is both easy to fabricate and highly durable, but also comes with the added back-up and support of Schüco UK.”
The Schüco ADS 65 pivot door – which may be single- or double-leafed, with a maximum leaf size of 1.1 m x 2.5 m and a leaf weight of 110 kg – is cleated and further reinforced with optional tie-rods top and bottom to maximise durability and minimise expensive replacement and/or maintenance costs.
The door can be specified with an anti-finger trap profile feature and offers a choice of locking options. Burglar resistance is certified to PAS 24 across all locking configurations.
Importantly, the system is fully compliant with The Equality Act 2010 with a 1100 mm maximum door width and specific reduced operating force closer options.
Moreover, the slender 50 mm sightlines that are a common feature of all the systems that make up the Schüco GFT solution believe their unrivalled strength and durability, making the whole system the perfect choice for high traffic areas in retail, commercial, education and healthcare buildings.
