Working in partnership, ADF and Kingspan Insulation bring you a new series of Building Insights podcasts for professionals in the construction sector – exploring a range of topics from fabric efficiency to construction practicality.
Within the next few years, all new buildings are expected to need to be “net zero ready” for operational carbon. This has significant implications for both the design and specification and means delivering excellent fabric performance will be essential. In our new series of Building Insights podcasts, we sit down with some of the key decision makers at Kingspan Insulation GB to discuss these upcoming changes, and the role insulation will play in meeting them.
In the first podcast, available now, Head of Sales (North) – Alistair Lambie – discusses new innovations in insulation and how they’re working with the industry to develop products to address some challenging applications. This includes the new Kingspan AlphaCore range, which uses an innovative microporous silica core to deliver both an A2-s1,d0 fire rating and premium thermal performance in a slim profile board.
In October Jon Ducker, Head of Regulatory Affairs at Kingspan Insulation GB will be tackling the topic of regulatory change. He will be discussing how the latest updates to the energy efficiency targets in the Building Regulations and Standards are working in practice, the next steps in England, Scotland and Wales and the potential changes on the horizon for monitoring embodied carbon and building performance.
In the final podcast in the series, coming during November, Kingspan Insulation GB’s Head of Public Affairs – Rita Singh – will be discussing the wider topic of sustainability. Exploring what it means to build a truly sustainable building, why a retrofit first approach is important and what role insulation products and manufacturers can play in creating a more sustainable built environment.
