Grant Westfield to bring Laura Ashley design to wall panel specification

Coming later this year, Grant Westfield’s Laura Ashley Wall Panel Collection will combine the distinctive patterns of the iconic British brand with the practical benefits of waterproof wall panels, giving architects, interior designers and developers new scope to create characterful commercial and residential interiors.

Design-led interiors increasingly demand materials that balance visual impact with durability and practicality. Later this year, Grant Westfield will introduce its Laura Ashley Wall Panel Collection, translating some of the iconic British brand’s best-loved designs into a versatile wall panel format for commercial and residential projects.

Grant Westfield, the UK’s leading wall panel manufacturer and the company behind the award-winning Multipanel and Naturepanel brands, has partnered with Laura Ashley to create a collection that combines decorative appeal with the functional requirements of contemporary interior specification.

Known for its distinctive interpretation of the British countryside, Laura Ashley’s design heritage is reflected throughout the collection, with nature-inspired motifs, delicate florals and a sophisticated colour palette. Digitally produced in laminate, the designs feature a surface texture that replicates wallpaper, offering an alternative to traditional decorative wallcoverings.

Design flexibility across multiple sectors

The forthcoming collection will feature 10 decors, giving architects, interior designers and developers scope to introduce pattern, colour and personality into a wide range of environments.

While the designs are well suited to bathrooms, their application extends far beyond the domestic setting. Washrooms, reception areas, gyms, spas, shops and restaurants could all benefit from the collection’s combination of distinctive design and practical performance.

The waterproof, durable and grout-free panels are designed for high-traffic environments where ease of maintenance and longevity are important considerations. Quicker and easier to install than tiles, they also offer an alternative way to achieve a decorative finish without the traditional grout lines associated with tiled walls.

For specifiers working across multiple sectors, this versatility will create opportunities to carry a consistent design language through different areas of a project, while selecting finishes that respond to the practical demands of each space.

A new approach to hospitality interiors

The collection is particularly relevant to hotel and hospitality projects, where the relationship between guestroom and bathroom design can play an important role in creating a cohesive interior.

Laura Ashley’s wallpaper-inspired designs will offer a way to introduce warmth and character into these spaces, helping designers develop inviting interiors that feel considered and connected. The sophisticated palette can also complement soft furnishings, including headboards, throws and cushions, to establish a coordinated scheme.

For boutique hotels in particular, the panels will provide an opportunity to create distinctive interiors that reflect a property’s individual identity while retaining the practical qualities required in a hospitality setting. The same design-led approach could extend into reception areas, spas and other shared spaces.

Differentiating residential developments

The collection will also offer opportunities for housebuilders seeking to give homebuyers something beyond conventional bathroom finishes.

Decorative wall panels provide a means of incorporating recognisable patterns and carefully considered colour schemes without compromising on functionality. By combining the appeal of traditional wallpaper aesthetics with waterproof and durable laminate construction, the Laura Ashley designs will give specifiers another option for creating distinctive residential interiors.

The panels will measure 2700 x 1200mm, or 2600 x 1200mm when accounting for the required 100mm tolerance cut line for pattern alignment.

Combining decorative versatility with practical performance, the Laura Ashley Wall Panel Collection will offer architects, interior designers and developers a fresh approach to wall finishes when it arrives later this year.
