With the emphasis on colour, Forbo Flooring Systems is delighted to be partnering with Crown Paints at this year’s Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW), with its EC1 showroom set to showcase how beautiful, integrated interior design schemes can be created with colour at their core.
Forbo will once again be opening the doors of its EC1 showroom, located on St John Street, for the annual Clerkenwell Design Week, taking place from 20-22 May 2025. For 2025, Forbo’s focus is all around colour, including an exciting colour and design collaboration with Crown Paints.
Visitors to the manufacturer’s showroom will be able to explore a new colour sample wall, showcasing the wide range of colourways across Forbo’s comprehensive flooring portfolio and how these can be combined with complementary Crown paints and textures. Reflecting set themes identified within Crown’s 2025/26 Colour Insights Report, architects and specifiers will be able to gain valuable design inspiration for integrated interior schemes.
Crown Paints’ Colour Insights 2025/2026 is a collection of five palettes designed to capture the essence of contemporary design. These palettes – Co, Choreography, Disrupt, G-local, and Faraway – offer architects and designers inspiration and a versatile framework for designing impactful spaces that blend creativity with functionality,
There will also be the opportunity to join Colour Talks, hosted at various times across the three-day show, providing unique insights from Forbo’s design team, Crown’s Colour Team and specialist Design Consultants.
Carbon will be another core focus for Forbo at CDW. Recognising the need for solutions that go above and beyond in regard to sustainability, Forbo’s showroom will be updated to include a dedicated ‘carbon corner’, where architects, specifiers and interior designers can learn more about its range of low carbon products.
Following independently verified research, Forbo’s Marmoleum collection has achieved Climate Positive (carbon negative) status cradle to gate, without the need for offsetting, removing 663g of CO2 from the atmosphere for every m² made. Forbo’s flooring portfolio was also recently expanded upon with the new Evolve+ series of Tessera carpet tile ranges, focussed on innovation for enhanced sustainability. By evolving its standard carpet tile construction, the four ranges within the Evolve+ series have increased recycled content of over 75% and lower embodied carbon of less than 2.0kg CO2 e/m² (A1-A3) – without offsetting.
