Delivering premium washrooms in commercial office environments

Petal’s full supply and fit service recently contributed to the completion of two premium office accommodation locations along Belfast’s blossoming waterfront region. Both build projects included high specification washrooms to reflect the impressive fit-out throughout. Petal worked seamlessly with project architects and developers to ensure the finished installations were in keeping with the design vision to provide a desirable workspace for prospective occupiers of the buildings.

City Quays 3

Petal’s mirror housing units with hinged access system and attractive overhead lighting feature provided an impressive backdrop to the washrooms of this 250,000 square feet Grade A Commercial Office fit-out project. Petal provided a range of high-quality systems across this record breaking 16 storey office block including Line Plus toilet cubicles and P300 APS paneling which were specified in a hard-wearing dark woodgrain finish HPL to withstand high traffic. With additional height, Line Plus cubicles provide enhanced privacy levels over standard height doors, with a full height of over 2.4 metres for improved discretion.

The standout feature of this installation is the inclusion of Petal’s mirror housing units with solid surface troughs included as the vanity choice. The integral upstand helps create a seamless transition from vanity to the overhead mirror housing unit, which has hinged access for ease of maintenance. Petal installed all elements of the unit including the overhead pelmet for lighting, gable ends and dividing centre panels for soap dispensers.

Olympic House

A commanding presence along the banks of Belfast lough, Olympic House provides Grade A office accommodation across its 7 stories. Petal’s sleek mirror housing unit provided the perfect effect for the minimalist styling of this project. The system comprises hand washing and drying facilities in a concealed unit beneath the streamlined mirror surface, helping achieve a clutter free environment and preventing hazards from wet floors caused by journeys to wall mounted hand driers. Surface etching on the mirror guides the user to the correct location for each stage of the hand washing and drying process.

The full project specification included ARC cubicles which feature attractive aluminium divides. These attach to a headrail which, combined with a continuous wall channel and three hinges per door, provide exceptional stability for high traffic areas. The Wenge woodgrain of the cubicle doors extends into the wall panelling across male and female WCs and also into the removable under panelling of the vanity troughs, providing continuity of styling across the washroom facilities.
