BTP Architects expands team with six new appointments

BTP Architects has expanded its team with six new appointments, reflecting the practice’s continued growth and success across the affordable and supported housing sectors.

The Stockport-based practice has recently appointed two new architects – Verity Roweth and Maria Moore – along with four new architectural assistants: Pardis Naji, Dominic Rhodes, Catherine Morel, and Jack Bourne.

Elliot Denby, Director at BTP Architects, said:

“These appointments strengthen our capability across our housing, retrofit and conservation projects. They reflect a period of continued growth for the practice, as we expand our capacity to deliver projects that meet the needs of our clients and the communities we serve.

“Together, the team brings a depth of experience – from technical delivery through to on-site understanding – that will support our continued delivery of high-quality design.”

Verity Roweth brings experience across residential, conservation and refurbishment projects. Her previous work includes commercial laboratories, public library schemes and PAS 2030 retrofit housing projects, giving her a strong technical grounding in both new-build and retrofit delivery.

With more than 15 years’ experience, Maria Moore has worked on medium and large-scale projects including new build housing, masterplanning, Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and high-rise apartment blocks. Her portfolio includes work on retrofit and adaptive reuse projects, with a particular focus on schemes that deliver social value.

Pardis Naji joined the BTP team after completing her Master of Architecture at the University of Manchester. Prior to joining the firm, she gained two years’ experience with a commercial practice, contributing to technical design work on high-rise and new-build commercial schemes.

Dominic Rhodes brings experience from two years working in the conservation construction sector. He is continuing to expand his technical and design skills while preparing to complete his Master of Architecture.

Catherine Morel has more than 20 years of architectural experience, with extensive expertise in producing technical drawings across all RIBA work stages. Having contributed to the technical delivery of Salford City Council’s first completed Passivhaus scheme, Catherine’s work has been shaped by her involvement in socially driven projects that respond to urgent housing needs in underserved communities.

Jack Bourne joined BTP in 2025 following two years working on site in the construction industry. He has a particular interest in residential and housing schemes and is already contributing to BTP’s retrofit projects.

The appointments follow a period of sustained growth for the practice, which recently completed the Avenue Street development in Bolton, delivering 44 affordable homes for the local community.
