Conca, the reinterpretation of a classic
Ideal Standard introduces the new Conca and Blend collections. The new products are part of their new Design-Led portfolio, Atelier Collections, created in collaboration with Italian design studio Palomba Serafini Associati.
With a solid heritage in the field of design, Ideal Standard, together with Palomba Serafini Associati studio, draws inspiration from iconic products of the past to create the new exciting collections for the present. Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, masters of international design with over 25 years of experience in the field of design innovations for the bathroom, reveal a collection that includes an exclusive range of ceramics and furniture.
A reinterpretation of a great classic for the modern era is represented by the Conca collection of washbasins, which draws inspiration from the original line designed in 1972 by Paolo Tilche: a range that defined a new path, transforming a once purely practical element to a harmonic combination of form and function. The designers carefully worked on the iconic washbasin, smoothening the corners to achieve an intelligent, modern balance with the squared and minimal design, in line with contemporary trends, while preserving its unique and sophisticated character.
The Conca range of washbasins is a comprehensive range, offering three different tap hole variations, along with two waste options, allowing for flexible installations. The basins are ideal for wall or countertop solutions, with a pedestal available on selected models, ideal for both residential and commercial projects.
The collection includes a range of premium furniture, with an elegant and minimalist look, adding further personality to the space. With push open and soft close drawers, the modular concept offers various combinations, along with different finishes and colour options, allowing personal customisation to individual tastes and space requirements. Further options include LED lights for drawers, along with organisation boxes for better storage.
Palomba Serafini Associati has also enriched the Ideal Standard bathroom portfolio with Blend, a new range of WC options, which perfectly complements Conca’s design. A minimal and neutral smooth design, available in both curve and cube options simplify the selection process. Blend is available in a contemporary wall-hung and back-to-wall option. Featuring the latest innovations from Ideal Standard, including the revolutionary AquaBlade® flush technology and hidden fixtures making this collection perfect for both residential and commercial projects.
About the new collections, Roberto Palomba said:
“We are particularly proud of the results of our exclusive partnership with Ideal Standard. Our approach is very simple: quality and intuitive design with an eye to the past, while ensuring the levels of simplicity, purity and elegance that distinguish Ideal Standard and meet the needs of modern society.”
