AHR is set to move its Bristol team to a new office space in a move to maximise collaborative working, with all staff working across eight services and nine sectors to be based within the open-plan office across a single floor.
Following two consecutive wins as Architectural Practice of the Year at the Insider South West Property Awards 2018 and 2019, the leading architecture and building consultancy practice will take the larger fourth floor suite of the Vintry Building in Bristol City Centre, relocating from its previous location at Clifton Heights where it was based for over 12 years.
Karle Burford, director at AHR, said:
“We know first-hand the benefits maximising agile working has, and with our new open-plan office space, we’re upping our ability to collaborate and knowledge share, which will drive innovation and strengthen relationships across our team. As a multi-service and sector practice, optimising our capacity to co-work will continue to help us thrive in delivering unique value through our service offering and producing creative solutions. We’re delighted to call Vintry Building our new home and for the future possibilities this move will bring.”
The promotion of agile and flexible methods of working is championed by the practice through its workplace design, with recent headquarters for the UK Hydrographic Office praised for its transformative design, winning 2019 RIBA South West and RICS South West awards, with a total of seven award wins for the project this year to date.
This connected approach has been followed in their own interior design and fit-out of their new workspace, incorporating, ‘crit’ areas for review, informal and formal workplace settings and a range of areas to allow for social respite, dedicated quiet space, as well as group meeting and discussion.
Gary Overton, director at AHR, adds:
“Vintry Building provides us with an excellent location in the heart of Bristol city centre, benefiting from a brilliant view over Castle Park. Located near Castle Park, St Nicholas Market and Wine Street, it offers ease of commute and a dynamic working environment for our staff amongst central Bristol’s wide range of amenities. It’s an exciting move for the whole team and highlights our commitment to providing a superb workspace environment for our people.”
AHR has a network of eight regional offices throughout the UK, with its Bristol office designing and delivering significant projects across the South West and further afield, including recent co-working office Origin Workspace in Bristol City Centre, Langarth Garden Village in Truro, Kings Quarter in Gloucester, Chard Regeneration, as well as the Electronic and Photonic Innovation Centre (EPIC) in Paignton.
