Kingspan Insulation has launched AlphaCore Pad, an A2-s1,d0 rated rainscreen insulation board with a hydrophobic core which achieves a thermal conductivity of just 0.020 W/mK.
Suitable for use behind rainscreen facades on all buildings, regardless of building type, height, construction and location – AlphaCore Pad can provide a thinner alternative to conventional Euroclass A-rated insulation products – opening up new opportunities in design.
It comprises a monolithic microporous silica core which is sewn into glass fibre fabric. This innovative, hydrophobic core delivers enhanced resilience in this challenging application.
Its Euroclass A2-s1,d0 rating has been rigorously assessed under Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP) System 1 for EN 13501-1 Reaction to Fire. The product is also backed by leading on and offline technical support at all project stages, from initial specification through to maintenance.
