With more than 75 years of manufacturing expertise, we work collaboratively with architects, developers and contractors to deliver lower carbon solutions that support Net Zero ambitions while maintaining the structural integrity and buildability of our products.

Our comprehensive range includes Beam & Block flooring, Hollowcore, Stairs & Landings, Columns and Retaining Walls, backed by technical expertise from concept through to installation.

Our commitment extends far beyond the products themselves. Since 2018, we’ve reduced our operational carbon emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 69% through continual investment in renewable energy, manufacturing innovation and more efficient production methods. Advanced cement replacement technology has enabled us to reduce cement content by up to 21.5% without compromising structural performance, while more than 800 solar panels now power 100% of production within our specialist precast factory. Beyond manufacturing, all deliveries are completed using 100% renewable HVO biofuel, reducing transport emissions by up to 98%.

These are just some of the many sustainability initiatives being implemented across Milbank, alongside continued investment in water recycling, low-carbon manufacturing technologies and fossil fuel-free equipment. Every carbon saving we report is measured using our in-house Carbon Reduction Calculator, giving architects confidence that the reductions achieved are based on genuine improvements across our own manufacturing operations rather than generic industry estimates.

But we’re not stopping there.

We’re continuing to invest in new technologies that will further reduce the embodied carbon of precast concrete. Our latest low carbon Hollowcore solution is currently undergoing trials and the early results are extremely encouraging.
