UK Construction Week launches hosted buyer programme in association with Glenigan

Designed to offer active buyers a structured and highly effective show experience, UK Construction Week is pleased to launch its Hosted Buyers programme in association with Glenigan, the UK’s leading construction project sales leads provider.

The programme, which will be available throughout the event this October, will allow buyers to efficiently cut through the ‘noise’ by going directly to the suppliers and vendors that are most able to meet their needs. For exhibitors, it will offer high quality one-on-one interaction with active purchasing decision makers, working on live projects.

Following an in depth consultation to establish the buyer’s requirements, the UK Construction Week team will organise a bespoke programme of hand-picked supplier meetings, seminars and networking events, all designed to help the visitor fulfil both their immediate and longer term project needs.

This focused approach allows participants to get maximum return on the time they invest in attending the show. What’s more, this service is completely free of charge.

The programme will be delivered in tandem with UK Construction Week’s numerous event partners, maximising the data and research expertise of Glenigan, as well as tapping into the knowledge offered by a host of professional bodies, from the Federation of Master Builders to the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Managed by a dedicated team, all meetings are carefully matched to the participant’s needs and organised on their behalf. For exhibitors, this results in highly targeted meetings with active buyers in their sector – and to ensure the quality of sales leads is maintained, potential buyers must conform to a strict set of qualifying criteria.

The programme is aimed at senior personnel with influence over procurement decisions or specifications that are looking to satisfy a real business need. Participant buyers are expected to demonstrate that they are keen to develop business relationships with exhibitors; have live projects or a significant project pipeline; are genuinely interested in learning about new products, solutions and technologies; and finally, that they have the seniority to sign off on purchasing decisions.

Held at the Birmingham NEC from 6 – 11 October (with the trade days from 6 – 8 October), UK Construction Week will bring together nine shows, 1,000 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors under one roof. Free to attend, it will be the biggest event for professionals working in all aspects of residential and commercial construction planning and design.
