UBM Live Built Environment, organisers of the globally respected Ecobuild events, will for the first time extend its reach to Mexico and the Americas, helping to internationalise Eco Cihac, the sustainable construction offering at Mexico’s leading construction event Expo Cihac.
Drawing over 65,000 specialised buyers from Mexico and several countries of Latin America as part of Expo Cihac, Eco Cihac represents the latest trends, technologies and best practices from across the Mexican sustainable construction market.
Created by the Center for Housing and Construction Development (CIHAC), the event will showcase new technologies in sectors such as water management, use and disposal; illumination, energy saving and control and alternative energies.
This new partnership will see significant investment injected into the sales and marketing function to help broaden the event’s scope and further position it as the strategic bridge between the EU and the Mexican and American sustainable construction industries.
Alison Jackson, Group Director of Sustainability & Construction, Ecobuild, said:
“We are delighted to be working with CIHAC to power Eco Cihac which marks an important step in Ecobuild’s strategy to globalise the sustainable construction industry. The event represents significant commercial opportunities for European sustainable construction companies to enter this highly lucrative market.”
Ecobuild will build upon its established relationships to draw many of the world’s most highly regarded solutions providers to the event, as well as expand and grow the visitor demographic.
Ecobuild currently acts as a hub for the international sustainable construction markets round the world including dedicated events across India, China, Malaysia and the UK.
Jaime Salazar, Managing Director, UBM Mexico, said:
“We are excited about the technology, innovation and knowledge that Ecobuild will help bring to Mexico – the thirteenth largest economy in the world. We very much look forward to growing and building upon Eco Cihac’s proposition as Latin America’s best brand for sustainability.”
Pablo Álvarez, Director, Eco Cihac, said:
“Our collaboration with Ecobuild will create a great momentum and growth opportunity for Eco Cihac. We will utilise our local market expertise and relationships to enhance the brand reach of the event and make Eco Cihac powered by Ecobuild a truly international event for Mexico and the Americas.”
