Booking is now open for the London instalment in REHAU’s popular series of Passivhaus seminars designed for architects, specifiers, clients and developers.
Rather appropriately, this seminar is taking place at one of the world’s most sustainable buildings – The Crystal in London Docklands – on Thursday 5 May.
The keynote speaker is Roger Burton, a Passivhaus Certified Designer from architectural consultancy Nvirohaus, delivering a presentation on The Principles of Passivhaus Design. Alongside Roger, REHAU’s expert and passionate team will talk about the design and specification of windows, doors and curtain walling for Passivhaus buildings and the associated ventilation required via ground–air heat exchangers.
Delegates can also enjoy a free tour of the iconic Wilkinson and Eyre designed Crystal building, including the Siemens ‘Future of Cities’ exhibition and a look at the REHAU chilled ceiling which was part of the design, followed by lunch
Tony Harbour, Senior Commercial Manager at The REHAU Hub in London, said:
“This is the latest stage in REHAU’s campaign to help plug the knowledge gap which we know exists in relation to Passivhaus design. We are seeing a really encouraging surge in interest around our Passivhaus certified fenestration and ventilation solutions, but also lots of requests for information and advice from specifiers.
“We’re keen to see Passivhaus become a mainstream option in the UK in the same way as it is in Germany and many other parts of Europe where REHAU operates, so we’re investing in a programme of events at stand out locations around the UK which allow for knowledge and best practice to be shared.”
REHAU’s most recent Passivhaus seminars in Manchester and Bristol have both been very well attended so booking is essential for the London event.
