Two new partners, four new associate partners and seven associates have been appointed to support key strategic areas at schmidt hammer lassen architects. The ambition of the successful international studio is to design outstanding architecture that creates positive changes for people and communities while ensuring project management and execution of the highest standard.
The newly appointed partners are Director of Shanghai Office, Chris Hardie, and Chief Project Director, Rong Lu.
Chris Hardie joined schmidt hammer lassen architects in 2008 and headed the concept development department in London. He relocated to Shanghai in 2011, where he and Rong Lu started the Shanghai branch of the studio, now counting more than 20 staff.
Rong Lu joined schmidt hammer lassen architects in Copenhagen in 2008. In 2009 she relocated to Shanghai, where she has spearheaded the studio’s successful Chinese market strategy and has played a key role in ensuring the studio’s current market position in the Asian market.
The four newly appointed associate partners, who join Kasper Frandsen, Rasmus Kierkegaard and Trine Berthold, are Director of Copenhagen office and COO, Oliver Grundahl; Director of Aarhus office, Frederik Schou Hansen; Project architect, Mads Kaltoft; and Head of Concept Development in Copenhagen, Tiago Pereira.
The newly appointed associates are Senior Architect, Elif Tinaztepe; Project Director, Klaus Petersen; Project Architect, Philip Brinch Sørensen; Senior Project Architect, René Nedergaard; Senior Project Manager, Masahiro Katsume; Head of Business Development Asia, Rasmus Duong-Grunnet; and Senior Project Architect, Steven Anthony Morton.
