Less than one week to go until entry for Surface Design Awards closes

This is the last chance to enter any outstanding architectural or interior projects designed using innovative surfaces for the Surface Design Awards 2017, with entry for the awards closing on Friday 30th September.

The Surface Design Awards are part of Surface Design Show which is the only event in the UK that focuses solely on interior and exterior surfaces, connecting innovative and exciting materials with a specifying audience of architects and designers. Surface Design Show returns to the Business Design Centre, Islington London from 7-9th February 2017.

Surface Design Awards will take place on the 9th February, recognising and celebrating outstanding examples of progressive design and the use of innovative surfaces in projects both in the UK and internationally.

Launched in 2013 the prestigious awards have grown exponentially in stature and quality, in 2016 we saw a record number of admissions with projects from 24 countries.

The Surface Design Awards have 13 awards across 7 different categories, with most categories being divided into exterior and interior. Each project is judged on a range of criteria including the type of surface, the use of materials and aesthetic design. In 2016 there were 32 finalists with IPT Architects taking the honour of becoming Surface Design Awards Supreme Winner 2016 for their Howe Farm project.

This year’s judging panel will be Co-Chaired by Ab Rogers Creative Director of Ab Rogers Design and Tina Norden Project Director of Conran and Partners. Their judges will include Jenny Jones of Studio Jenny, Sacha Leong of Studioilse, Bethan Wood of Studio Wood, Christopher Ash Director of Project Orange, Arfoditi Krassa of AfroditiKrassa and Fiona Thompson from Richmond, all of whom are experts in their fields.

It is imperative to submit your project now to secure involvement in one of the most respected events of the year and to be in with a chance to win an award.

Projects can be submitted by the client, architect or designer, surface supplier or their representative.
