Leslie Jones Architecture has been commissioned to prepare concept designs for the major extension and redevelopment of Expobel Shopping Centre in Minsk for Aquabel.
The scheme will quadruple the area of the centre and cement its position as the dominant retail offering in the region. Expobel, which is well placed on the ring road to the north of the capital city, will remain trading throughout works.
The designs will be headed by Simon Scott, who was recently appointed by Leslie Jones as Head of International. Simon is spearheading the firm’s overseas expansion, with a particular focus on targeted EMEA countries.
“Aquabel has recognised Leslie Jones’ solid track record in delivering innovative design concepts that meet the needs of both retailers and consumers alike. It is an exciting project that is now progressing positively and we look forward to injecting additional creativity into the redevelopment.”
Simon joins Leslie Jones with 20 years of experience in commercial design, both in the UK and internationally. His considerable portfolio spans retail, transport, residential and mixed-use schemes.
Leslie Jones has also recently promoted long-standing and valued team members, Cos Constantinou and Lee Pope to Associate Directors, following a landmark year for the firm.
