Kährs to focus on six of the 2030 UN Sustainability Development Goals

Wood flooring and LVT manufacturer Kährs will focus on six of the 2030 UN Sustainability Development Goals: Good Health and Well-being, Affordable and Clean Energy, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action and Life on Land.

Over the decades, Kährs has become a leader in providing flooring offering high expectations of quality, design and innovative and sustainable solutions. As the UN sustainable development goals are recognised across global industries, Kährs will integrate six of the global goals into overall business operations.

“Kährs’ ambition is to contribute to a more sustainable society and we have chosen these six SDG goals in areas where we have the most impact. We are integrating these goals into our business operations and sustainability plan to further support our commitment to offer products that are healthy, recyclable, perform to the highest standards, and based on responsibly sourced materials”, says Christer Persson, President and CEO of Kährs Group.

Ongoing sustainable initiatives include using more sustainable internal transportations, and one company goal is to have all transports running on fossil-free fuel. Aligned with the goal of affordable and clean energy, the company will continue its efforts in reducing energy use and using renewable sources.
