J&P Building Systems is pleased to announce that its popular ISOPRO® and ISOMAXX® range of thermally-isolated balcony connection products have recently been issued with a European Technical Assessment (ETA 17/0466). The document provides verification by UK and European building authorities of product performance in up to 120 minutes of fire conditions.
ISOPRO® balcony connection products have been used for many years throughout the UK to assist with compliance to Part L thermal insulation requirements. They are typically used to provide thermally-isolated connections between the building structure and exterior concrete balconies, but are also used to support walkways and other exterior concrete features. ISOMAXX® products provide even higher levels of thermal insulation when required by building clients. ISOPRO® and ISOMAXX® provide low deflection shear and moment connections while preventing thermal bridging at the connection points. The thermal insulation provided improves the overall thermal efficiency of the building envelope and so helps prevent heat loss, condensation, and mould growth in interior rooms.
