Icopal has recently launched the Universal range, a flexible new collection that is ideal for flat or pitched roofs. Available in three different variations, the product is durable and environmentally friendly.
With its high puncture resistance, the company’s new addition is long lasting with a life span of up to 30 years. The single layer roofing system contains POCB (polyolefine copolymerisate binder) and is further enhanced with glass fibre and polyester. Combined with UV protection, the Universal range is the most durable and versatile roofing material available.
This range is also completely ecologically friendly. Icopal Universal consists of clean raw materials, and is free from plasticizers, chlorine and other halogens. As a result, this product notably reduces the overall environmental impact of a building. As well as this, Universal is also fully recyclable, adding further value to its environmental credentials.
Neil Harrison, Technical Director at Icopal, stated,
“Icopal have always produced the most innovative means of building protection. Icopal Universal combines versatility and sustainability very well, and it is very rewarding to see how popular it is amongst our customers.”
Icopal Universal is available in three different variations and can be used in a diversity of applications. Firstly, the most popular version is Icopal Universal POCB, which can be mechanically fixed, ballasted and loose laid. Secondly, Icopal Universal SA is self-adhesive, making detailing easy and safe. Lastly, Icopal Universal WS is resistant to root penetration, making it ideal for green roof applications.
