Viessmann will be exhibiting a selection of its most energy efficient products at Buildings & Energy Efficiency Conference and Exhibition 2015, held at Manchester Central, 10-11th November (stand C14).
The Vitocal 300-three-phase air source heat pump provides higher outputs and quiet operation for commercial properties. The all-in-one, exceptionally quiet package of variable speed fan, modulating compressor and air duct design is a freestanding, external unit that earned a special mention in the German Design Awards 2015 for its smart, cylindrical design. In combination with solar photovoltaic panels, operating costs of the heat pump can be reduced. This is not purely because it uses electricity generated for free; Viessmann’s controls allow the heat pump to monitor the electricity generation and manage the heat pump operation accordingly so that the free energy is utilised rather than being returning to the grid.
Viessmann’s Vitosol 200-T solar thermal system will also be on display. The highly efficient, heat pipe vacuum tube collector is designed to convert the maximum amount of solar energy into heat. Every tube on the Vitosol 200-T can be optimally aligned towards the sun, vertically and horizontally at any angle between 0 and 90 degrees. It can also be installed on any surface – rooftops, walls or freestanding.
Its award winning, high specification flat plate collector counterpart, Viessmann’s Vitosol 200-F is also on the stand. It can be matched to any RAL colour and connected in arrays of up to 12 panels.
Representing a popular boiler configuration for light commercial applications is a pair of highly efficient Vitodens 200-W commercial gas boilers in cascade. A maximum output of 900 kW is possible by cascading eight 200-W models in various configurations.
