Forbo Flooring Systems has refreshed its Flotex Colour collection with the addition of a new design and format, as well as an array of new colours that are inspired by the moods and illuminating and spectral shades of cities around the world. The comprehensive flocked flooring range now offers even more flexibility to create contemporary interiors.
There is no denying that certain cities have their own mood and identity, whether it’s the bright neon hues of Tokyo or the darker, more gritty shades of New York; every city has its own unique colour palette, which may be so subtle that perception differs from person to person. From softer, tone-on-tone shades to rich and vibrant hues, the hues found in the rejuvenated Flotex Colour collection have been inspired by the wide choice of colour found in cities and urban landscapes.
Comprising subtle tones and pared back hues taken from the surfaces of urban builds to vibrant colour pops inspired by city lights, the collection offers a whole spectrum of 96 shades and five unique designs to choose from; Metro, Penang, Calgary, Savannah and new to 2019, Canyon. What’s more, 36 colours of this versatile collection are now also available in a plank format, as well as current sheet and tile options. Savannah comes in six colourways and is only available in plank format.
Calgary offers a wide choice of shades in a soft, natural design that works well in larger application areas that require a muted ambiance. Metro is a versatile semi-plain design that conveys texture without definite form, creating an authentic feel that is unique to Flotex flooring, and is available in an array of contemporary colours from greys to bright accent hues.
The understated linear effect of Penang, offered in a range of rich modern shades including new colour, Orchid, and represents a stunning look for any contemporary environment. Finally, Canyon, the newest design, is a heavily grained semi-plain design inspired by natural earth and rock, with a distinctive texture and medium contrast.
Savannah is a finely detailed, naturally inspired texture with a distinct linear patterning influenced by wild grasses. The addition of the plank format to the collection also sees the introduction of 16 shades in the Metro design, six in Penang and four colours in the Calgary and Canyon designs.
