Property consultancy Daniel Watney LLP has announced the appointment of David Graham as a new senior associate partner in the planning team.
This follows the arrival of David Shiels as a graduate planner in late 2014 as the team look to satisfy an ever-increasing number of instructions across London and the south east. Recruitment across all levels of planning expertise will be targeted over the next six months.
Graham is making the move from Indigo Planning Ltd where he held an associate directorial role that focused on identifying development opportunities, co-ordinating and submitting planning applications and appeals.
Previous to this he had completed a stint as an associate at Knight Frank where he became familiar with all aspects of the planning process for the commercial and residential sectors and produced planning appraisal reports for valuation and disposal purposes.
During his time at Indigo Planning and Knight Frank, Graham secured planning permission for Helix Property Advisors on a 54,000 sq.ft of flexible employment space next to Heathrow, an 11 storey, 267 room student development in Bristol as well as planning permission on behalf of Catesby Regeneration for the first purpose built student accommodation scheme in 15 years within the London Borough of Lambeth.
He also secured planning permission in Camden for the first Barry’s Bootcamp in the UK, and for a number of premises on behalf of Ten Pilates and Barrecorre.
Charles Mills, head of planning at Daniel Watney, said:
“David brings with him a wealth of experience that we will make sure to put to good use as we continue to offer high-level access and deep insight to the workings of the UK property market.”
David Graham, senior associate partner at Daniel Watney, said:
“I am very much looking forward to my time with Daniel Watney. The company has an impressive host of long-standing clients from a whole range of sectors and keen eye for emerging opportunities, both of which I hope to build upon.”
