BW has been appointed as the main contractor on the Workplace Pilot Scheme for the Wellcome Trust.
The project will introduce a new collaborative working style for 22 employees across 1000 square metres of space, on level one of its headquarter building on the Euston Road. If the scheme is successful it will be rolled out across the whole building.
The pilot scheme will address the general office environment, including alternative ways of working, team spaces, quiet spaces and support spaces. This project provides the opportunity to test, review, analyse and improve the design before similar schemes are introduced to the rest of the building.
The project aims to create a ‘best in practice’ work environment for the Trust and ensure it is utilising the most innovative working methodology to support and encourage collaboration across different teams and to deliver a highly flexible workspace.
Woods Bagot is the appointed architect and created the brief with and on behalf of the client.
The project is scheduled for completion December 2015.
