B&Q superstore benefits from natural daylight

B&Q’s new superstore in Burgess Hill features Contour insulated rooflights from Hambleside Danelaw.

As with all B&Q new build projects, rooflights manufactured in the UK by Hambleside Danelaw were specified because they maximise the use of natural daylight and reduce carbon the carbon footprint. 700m of rooflights were required as part of a CA Twin Therm system. The 2.44kg/m2 liner panel has a fire rating of SAA1 and the 10mm polycarbonate insulation layer encapsulated within the assembly lowers the U value to 1.3W/m2k indicating high levels of insulation. B&Q’s energy costs are reduced by this specification.
