The World Architecture Festival (WAF) is delighted to announce that AkzoNobel, the leading global paint and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals, will return as Headline Sponsor of the event for the third year running.
WAF, the world’s largest architectural celebration and conference, takes place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from 4 – 6 November 2015.
AkzoNobel will have a prominent presence outside of the World Architecture Festival’s architectural critiques and awards. As befits the global paint organisation, colour will manifest itself, both physically and thematically, throughout AkzoNobel’s dynamic conference programme and exhibition area.
The Headline Sponsor will host live drawing demonstrations by architectural legend Will Alsop and a Singapore50 (SG50) Colour Tour where delegates will be able to immerse themselves in high definition Singaporean architecture.

A showcase of its latest innovation and portfolio and Last year, AkzoNobel announced Copper Orange as colour of the year and awarded its Innovative Use of Colour on Exteriors Prize to the orange-yellow headquarters of the Vienna University of Economics and Business’ Department of Law and Central Administration.
The Cook Robotham Architectural Bureau designed the 200-metre-long pairing of buildings that snake along in a series of brightly coloured streaks, a cheery sight on grey days in the Austrian capital.
This year’s Colour prize shortlist is just as bright, with nine vibrant global projects shortlisted that span the wide spectrum of WAF award categories.
