Lincoln architects continue to grow team with new additions

Growing architecture firm, LK2 Architects Ltd, has expanded its team with the addition of two new professionals, including an apprentice.

Aimee Rasen joins the team as a Part I architectural assistant after completing her studies at Lincoln University. Having previously worked on residential projects, Aimee will be supporting the team on larger scale schemes.

Speaking of her new role, Aimee said:

“I’m thrilled to be joining LK2. I’m from Lincoln myself so I’m excited to be working with a local company making a difference in the city.

“Sport is also a big part of my life, as I’ve played netball, hockey, football and rugby since I was at school, so I was interested in the work LK2 is doing across both sports and leisure.”

Luke Roberts also joins the team as an apprentice technologist after completing his A levels this year. Previously, Luke has gained experience in graphic design when working on a project for Lincoln University, and is now working towards a BTEC in construction and the built environment.

Luke said:

“I chose LK2 for my apprenticeship because the team there were really supportive and have a good reputation; I knew it would be a great opportunity to learn from them.

“Mostly I’ll be using CAD programmes to create models for clients, and getting the practical experience to support my studies.”

LK2 is a unique company of chartered architects and sports and leisure business advisors. It specialises in using sport and leisure as a vehicle to blend together a range of sectors including mixed use developments, residential, retail and urban regeneration schemes.

Andrew Kitchen, director at LK2 said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Aimee and Luke to our team, and I’m sure they will be fantastic addition.

“We continue to develop and extend our portfolio with some great projects coming up, making this a very exciting time for them to join us.”
