One of the UK’s leading offsite building solution provider, Caledonian, will be exhibiting at The Academies Show Birmingham 2017, 22 November, NEC.
Visitors to stand B34 will be able to find out how a number of schools and academies around the UK have partnered with the company to deliver their estate requirements.
Featuring prominently will be the recently completed £2.5m sports complex for Ashville College, a leading independent day and boarding school in Harrogate.
Also be showcased will be the new £14m boarding house for ACS Cobham International School in Surrey. Designed by Broadway Malyan, it again uses Caledonian’s SMART construction technology.
Caledonian’s SMART construction solution is being chosen by a growing number of architects and academies because it allows up to 85 per cent of the build to be completed off-site. Benefits include assured levels of build quality, shorter schedules – allowing whole projects to be completed out of term time – as well as ongoing building efficiency and low maintenance. Importantly also, very low impact upon both the functioning of the educational facility, and, the local community.
In partnership with HLM Architects, Caledonian is an approved supplier on the £50m Education Funding Agency (EFA) Framework to design and build for schools, academies, and other educational facilities. The Framework, which falls under the second wave of PSBP (Priority School Building Programme), went live in August 2017 for a period of up to 4 years.
