The VIVENDI® collections of Adapta® comprise a wide range of colours and finishes which are at the forefront of powder coatings for architectural purposes. Developed with new innovative materials and manufactured with state-of-the-art technologies, they imbue a high performance to products that makes them ideal for use in the most demanding applications and situations.
Its high light reflective capabilities and the impressive chromatic effects make these powder coatings an excellent tool in the design of emblematic projects that require differing finishes together with high quality standards.
Its functional characteristics along with the different approvals from accredited laboratories allow the VIVENDI® collections to transcend just the architectural scope; enabling use in other sectors such as maritime and rail transport. In addition, it contributes substantially to greater safety in transport, comfort and sustainability, in short, improving our ‘modus VIVENDI®’.
European Directive 89/106/CEE of December 21, 1988 for construction products establishes the regulatory framework for European standard UNE-EN 13501-1: 07 + A1:2010 rating construction products and building elements in accordance with their behaviour against fire (EUROCLASS). The products are rated in relation to three indicators:
Contribution to fire: defined as the capacity of self-ignition under the effects of high temperatures, as well as its subsequent behaviour regarding combustion or flame.
Smoke emission and opacity: assessment of the amount and size of solid particles in suspension generated by the combustion of materials.
Falling droplets or particles: estimate of the amount of inflamed droplets that can contribute to the spread of the fire.
The classification of VIVENDI® products is as follows: A2, very limited contribution to fire; s1, low smoke production and d0, no inflamed drops/particles are produced.
In relation to rail transport, the VIVENDI® collections have obtained the classifications R1HL3 and R7HL3 according to the European standard UNE-EN 45545-2:2013+A1:2016 Railway applications. Fire protection on railway vehicles. Its purpose is to reduce the risk of generating a fire, control its spread and its extinguishing, as well as minimising the damage that products generated during the fire (heat, smoke and toxic gases) cause on passengers and crewmembers.
In its pursuit to increase maritime safety and prevent pollution, the European Union requires that equipment installed on board comply with certain safety standards in terms of design, construction and performance. Hence, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and international and European standards organisations have developed detailed performance and testing standards for some types of marine equipment included in European Directive 2014/60/EU of July 23, 2014. For compliance with this directive, VIVENDI® products have been tested in accordance with IMO Resolution MSC.307 (88)-(PEF Code 2010) and comply with the requirements set out in section MED/3.18b of Annex 1 Part 5 of executive regulation EU 2018/773 dated May 15, 2018 where design, construction and performance requirements and test standards for marine equipment are developed.
In interior spaces, we can find ourselves exposed to an extremely high number of substances in very low concentrations, mainly due to the high proliferation of new materials in recent times. This wide group of substances, together with specific temperature and moisture conditions, usually make it difficult to predict whether they will be perceived as hazardous or rarefied, that is, of low quality.
Adapta has proceeded to test the products of its VIVENDI® collections for architectural use according to ISO 16000-9:2006 for the determination of the emission of volatile organic compounds from construction products and furniture. According to the results, the company has received the A+ distinction (very low emissions) for the wall, ceiling, window and door decoration.
The VIVENDI® collections have the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The EPD collects in a transparent way, and verified by an independent third party, information related to the environmental behaviour of the product based on its Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). The information is structured in different impact categories (global warming, depletion of the ozone layer, acidification, etc.) along with other additional information such as produced emissions, generated waste, etc.
All the colours of the VIVENDI® collections incorporate the new Adapta Bonding System® technology that enables and ensures a homogeneous optical effect, essential for use in emblematic projects or those that require high quality standards. ADAPTA® can develop customised colours upon request.
